  About Us
  Senior Partner's Message

We believe that flexible, non-rigid managerial and administrative methods, systems and approaches are the most appropriate ways and means in organizing our work and activities. Our employees viz advocates, consultants and administrative/support staff members, enjoy a healthy working environment in which they enjoy wide maneuvering space in accomplishing their duties and obligations toward the offices and our high valued clients, whom we try our best to fulfill their needs, on time.

Through constant and close consultation with clients, we have managed to acquire a deep understanding of their business and commercial interests and plans.

Our staff members are fluent in Arabic, English and French languages, which provide our offices with a vital tool that facilitate our handling of the matters of Non-Arab clients worldwide.

We have a large and professional staff with diverse career backgrounds. This diversity is an advantage for us and our clients as it allows us to understand and specialize in a larger legal framework than most others.

As regards litigation, our advocates are duly licensed to appear before all courts in the U.A.E, whether local or federal.

Seeking to fulfill our commitments toward our clients by providing high quality legal and consultation services by all means and through all possible channels, Hilal & Associates has been issuing since mid 2003 a free monthly legal newsletter that is distributed locally, regionally and worldwide covering so many important legal and consultancy topics and inquires. Through the introduction of this newsletter, we feel that we are approaching all our valued clients closer and closer which helps to firmly establish interaction with them more and more. The main aim of this new project, the newsletter, is to enhance our relationship and strengthen the mutual understanding between ourselves and our clients in order to participate in establishing the foundations of the contemplated justice which may be achieved through the mutually frank dialogue and debate as well as the expression of the sound and logical opinion.

In our legal newsletter we are trying to contribute as much as possible in having the legal precedent established, be it old or new, and what matters is to drive from a legal precedent a legal principle to be established as a guidance to the Lower Courts which respect what is established by the Federal Supreme Court, including its different Circuits and Dubai Court of Cassation which also contributes in the establishment of such principles which, in turn, shall be implanted in the minds of the adversaries, especially if the matter is relating to the interpretation of an Article (s) of Law, be it a general or special law, on which a party to the litigation may rely while the other party may give a contrary interpretation thereto, hence that is to be determined by the Supreme Court which gives the right interpretation. Through this work, we at Hilal & Associates aim to make the largest possible number of people aware of such principles to make them able to be familiar with the rulings rendered by our Honorable Courts on the Technical points, and as such they can derive from such rulings what may help them in addressing the problems, hence the information in our newsletter may reach the interested people, here and abroad, who have a direct or indirect relationship with Commercial, Economic, Social, Human and Legal matters. Most importantly, we hope that our newsletter shall be a message of friendship addressing a variety of legal matters, whether its source is judiciary or jurisprudence.

Since the first day of issuing this newsletter the aim has been to embody the mutual interaction between our valued clients and us. In addition, this newsletter endeavors to firmly establish the legal rules and principles incorporated in the rulings of our High Courts to be guided by them. In fact, such rulings are almost identical to the goal of the legislator who enacted the law and they are taken as a reference in any case brought by the parties or either of them to the Supreme bench (be it the Federal Supreme Court or Court of Cassation).

By conveying such rules and principles to our clients after selecting the latest, most beneficial and useful material, we feel that we may attain our desired goal of issuing this continuous newsletter. Moreover, by this direct contact we shall become much closer to all our clients and our predominantly legal message may help our esteemed readers to secure safely a solidly economic and commercial position.
